Tactical: special-projects lead
The work is stuck. The plan is fine; a few things on it just aren't moving. I take a stalled initiative, or a new product line from validation to launch, and get it shipped with your team.
Good fit when
- A new product line competes with the core for the same team, and both are slower than they should be.
- Initiatives have been open for months. Everyone knows which ones. Nobody owns closing them.
- A big customer needs something the roadmap has no room for.
- Your head of product is carrying too much and needs a piece taken off their plate.
How it runs
- The scope and the outcome come out of the review, in writing.
- Full-time, with your team. Your product people keep their roadmap; I take the piece nobody has room for.
- A set end date. If it's working, we agree the next block.
- At the end: a handover pack and a trained owner on your team.
Done before
- Elucidat: led a special-projects team that delivered enterprise content-security features in ~6 months, next to a full roadmap.
- PepsiCo: closed ~10 stalled initiatives, some open for over a year. One unlocked ~$5M in sales.
Price
A monthly fee for a set length, agreed after the review. Full terms on the services page.
